Is online giving secure?

Yes. Online giving is safe & easy to use with your debit/credit card or your personal bank account.

Can I automate my giving?

Yes. Simply select your “Frequency” preferences. You will have the option of choosing how many times a month you would like to give, as well as which day of the week.

Can I give through my bank account?

Yes. There are two different ways to do so. Whether you are on the app or giving online, you can add your bank account information.

In addition, you are also able to give your tithes/offerings through your personal bank’s online bill payment service. Simply insert “Trinity Chapel” as your payee, enter “tithes” or “missions” as the account, and use the following information for the payee address:

Are there any hidden fees or charges to give online?

As a donor, you will not receive any fees or charges. However, the church does incur fees for processing. In order to maximize your giving, we recommend you select “Add bank account” as your payment method when giving online or through the app.

As part of your online or app giving, you can choose to cover the fees as part of your donation.

What is the deadline for year-end giving?

All contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31st. Any online contributions must also be initiated by & dated as of December 31st.

How can I see my giving history?

Your giving history is available to view with the Church Center app. Simply selecting the icon in the upper right-hand corner, & choose “My Giving.”

Statements are also emailed periodically, mailed quarterly, or can be requested any time by contacting our business manager, Karen Markwell, at Karen.m@mytc.org or by calling our office at (502)425-1636.

What are Marketable Securities, & can I give them?

Marketable Securities are transfer ownership of stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares. Marketable Securities are a great way to maximize your giving, because you receive an immediate income tax deduction for the full fair market value of your securities. In addition, you pay no capital gains tax on the difference between your cost and the fair market value.

What are Planned Gifts, & can I give them?

Planned gifts are giving retirement assets, bequests, trusts, , etc., as part of your overall personal finance strategy. If you have planned in advance in advance to give a gift as part of your overall personal financial strategy, we recommend that you discuss your decision with your tax and/or financial advisor.

There are several types of gifts that may fall under this category, many of which are very simple to make and do not require any formal communication to us. These include:

Retirement Assets: You can name Trinity Chapel as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k) or other qualified retirement plan. Any amounts left in your plan will transfer to Trinity Chapel free of income and estate tax.

Bequests: You can name Trinity Chapel in your will as a beneficiary, and your estate will receive an income tax deduction for the value of your bequest. A bequest written in a will can be made for either a percentage or an amount.
